Read MoreWe had a delicious dinner here on a week night. The food was outstanding. We tried the chicken parm, the fettuccine alfredo, the fettuccine duchessa and the linguini with meatballs. The dishes were fresh and hot and full of flavor. The salad and bread were also very good. Combine the good food and the excellent service, and you have a wonderful experience.
This, admittedly, New England Snob about food has been pleasantly surprised by this little gem. I feel you can't get good Italian food outside New England other than NYC, Baltimore, Philadelphia. Here in Williamsburg we've found an incredible little place with the most extensive Italian menu I've ever seen. Having a good menu doesn't always mean having good food but this place was fantastic. Short on ambiance long on quality, taste and value. ...whole page of entrees Under 10.00. Dinner for four, including six wines, under 120.00. Multiple kinds of pasta and sauces, chicken, veal, sausage, egg plant; All wonderful. Nothing from the outside! Several tables on a concrete patio in a suburban strip mall parking lot. Inside, 1960s family restaurant with a long bar that looks more like an ice cream parlor than Italian bar. Waitstaff with characteristic southern charm....and accents...proving you don't need to come from Italy to know good Italian food. TrueLy an incredible menu...look on line. Each of us had a different sauce for our entres, mine Pink Vodka, others Alfredo, Francaise, bolegnaise. Everyone agreed the food was wonderful, the Bolegnaise declared the best he'd ever had. For quality, taste and as an afterthought, value, you can't go wrong here.
Excellent authentic Italian. Unlike many Italian restaurants which keep the flavors more neutral these meals were full flavored. Started with fresh baked garlic knots and a family style salad with a fabulous red wine vinagarette. We had penne alla vodka, spaghetti & meatballs, and pasta neapolitanio. All the pasta was aldente. Good service and very reasonable prices.
